Dick Sinya

Big hair. Big vocals. A filthy mouth and absolutely no filter.

Meet Dick Sinya, your 80s/90s glam rock burlesque god, powerhouse vocalist, quick-witted comedian and professional piss-taker.

With over 20 years on stage, Dick knows how to work a crowd. Armed with powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp comedy and a talent for roasting anyone brave enough to make eye contact, Dick can bring a room to its feet one minute and have it doubled over laughing the next.

Taking inspiration from the excess of 80s hair metal and the attitude of 90s rock, Dick brings big vocals, outrageous costumes, dirty humour and plenty of sexual innuendo to the stage. Their performances combine live singing, burlesque, comedy and audience interaction, with absolutely nobody safe from becoming part of the show.

And Dick can SING. We're talking serious vocal chops, the kind that can belt out a rock anthem, hold a crowd in the palm of their hand and still have enough breath left to deliver a perfectly timed insult. The comedy is just as strong. Dick's crowd work is fast, spontaneous and gloriously inappropriate, with roasts that hit hard enough to sting but land with enough charm to keep everyone coming back for more.

Dick has performed at Fringe festivals across Australia, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Bunbury, with appearances in After Hours: Lock In, Red Light Confidential, Arcana: Wheel of Fortune and Tash York's Crazy Cabaret.

Their headline credits include Confessions in Adelaide, The 86 in Melbourne and Ken's Dreamhouse at Sydney Fringe 2024. Dick has also hosted and headlined Red Light Confidential across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, and hosted the MX Burlesque NSW 2024 competition final.

As an MC, Dick is anything but a polite voice behind a microphone. Expect quick comebacks, merciless crowd work, outrageous banter and the occasional guest wondering why they volunteered to sit in the front row. Whether it's a corporate function, a packed cabaret room or a rowdy hens night, Dick knows exactly how far to push the joke and how to bring the audience along for the ride.

Come for the vocals. Stay for the comedy. Leave thoroughly roasted.

Got a crowd that needs entertaining? Or a few egos that need taking down a peg? Dick Sinya brings the vocals, the comedy, the rock-star attitude and a mouth that probably should come with a warning label. Book Dick Sinya through Syd Showgirls. 1300 045 729 | www.sydshowgirls.com.au
