About the event
From the very beginning, the mission has always been clear: to uplift, to showcase, to mentor, and to invest in tomorrow’s talent. Dakota's Showgirl Sundays in Sydney may have closed its curtain at Stonewall Hotel, but the mission continues at Palms on Oxford.
Hosted by Dakota Fann’ee in partnership with Syd Showgirls and Palms on Oxford, this weekly event is more than just a drag show in Sydney. Every Sunday, three emerging performers take the stage for two shows (8PM and 9PM). Each cast member is paid $100 including superannuation, because exposure doesn’t pay rent.
This is a safe, professional space where queens and burlesque stars can grow, test new material, and sharpen their craft in front of a crowd. From hosting to self-promotion, every performer learns the building blocks of stagecraft while delivering a full-scale cabaret show.
